About this deal

Thread colour is picked based on what I think will pop most against the fabric - some fabric being so detailed you have to go darker for the lettering to stand out. We endeavour to provide the very best service, as we offer the personal touch unique to independent businesses. We were going to add a list of suitable craft materials for children to use to make their flags with but, when thinking about it, almost any children's craft embellishments will do.

These flags make brilliant momentos for your seaside town, holiday, snaps, to adorn on top of a sandcastle or even for a child's room! We used glitter pom poms as they look like they have spiky hair all over them, due to their metallic strands.

Building sandcastles is a typical childhood summertime activity and flags are often a last minute thought, even when just arriving at the beach. If you really are wanting to economise you could make some which will last year in, year out by using felt or fabric. com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US.

Available from any of my fabric in the photos below each flag measures approx 30cm in height (dowel height) the fabric itself is 12cm x 14cm.If the child, then gets too noisy, the critter will dislike this and need to be moved to a quieter place. Most of the photos are examples from my Make your own Sandcastle Flag KIT just here from which if you would like to make your own each kit makes 4 flags with fabric, embroidery thread and bamboo hoop included! Using a calendar pad glued on to coloured A4 card, they can be hung with thread taped to the back or by punching holes and ribbon threaded through and knotted.

Our yearly beach vacation in Sanibel, Florida was a few weeks ago, and as usual, I spent several hours of that week on the beach with shovels and buckets, making sandcastles. I am not at all a crafting guru and this is super simple and hardly costs a penny, so any regular mum like me can have a go! He is a bit of a sandcastle hero really and even now 30 years later he is still enjoying making them but with my kids now.The most simple method is to glue the stick to the rectangle of paper or card along the shorter edge. love pre-cut templates and I took a pack with us when we went to the beach last week (see the DIY sandcastle flags we made too! child placing a homemade flag made from a pink sticky note with a drawing of a smiley face, into the top of a small sandcastle surrounded by sand inside a plastic sandbox. Paint will run if it gets wet (acrylic paint will last longer), the same with felt tipped pens but of course, that depends how disposable you want them to be.
